Seeking out the best eco-eyewear - with a wide selection of innovative UK brands - they're as selective about their stock as you are when it comes to choosing your next pair of frames. We’ll put it this way - they had us at biodegradable contact lenses!

Starting a new business is scary, of course it is, but in Herne Hill of all places? It’s a small but saturated area, the target market is extremely broad and with the need to keep things as planet-conscious as possible, Hill Opticians had a big task on their hands.
Right on the edge of Brockwell Park, with plenty of foot traffic, we needed to say ‘hello!’ - but that hello needed to be loaded with all the goodness they have to offer. Our job was to effectively introduce them to their new neighbours in Herne Hill, whilst setting them apart from the greenwashing businesses with nothing to say or offer. Hill Opticians needed to be a brand that favours a good conscience to pair with their good style.
Save the planet with you? We’ve only just met! Confidence is key when it comes to style and the same goes with knowing how to be planet-positive. Both kinds of confidence can be misconstrued as pretentious.
Hill Opticians ultimately, aren't just glasses and eye tests, it’s a vision hub of good choices for the planet that make you feel good.
We incorporated grounded geometric graphics, inspired by Brockwell Park across the road and the railway arches of Herne Hill. These are juxtaposed with bold typography, vibrant colours and a hospitable tone of voice.
Cheeky, but never cocky, Hill Opticians has an identity that stands firm as a tree, but shows lightness and adaptability in all aspects.
